The Flesh and Blood™ National Championship is the annual chance for players across the world to battle it out for the title of National Champion. These events are professional, invitation-only tournaments, run by Legend Story Studios. Players can qualify for these events by making the Top 4 at a Road to Nationals event or on ratings based invitation.

National Championships feature cash prizes and the opportunity to play for Gold Cold Foil Legendary cards. Winners also receive a World Championship Invitation, which can be redeemed for entry into the next World Championship.

Date: September 9-10, 2023 Venue: GameForce Visserstraat 18-A 5612 BT Eindhoven, Netherlands Format: Classic Constructed & Monarch Booster Draft Rules Enforcement Level (REL): Professional. For further reference, see the current Tournament Rules and Policy Guide, and Procedure and Penalty Guide. Entry Fee: None, but invitation only (see below). Tournament structure

There will be 12 rounds of best-of-one Swiss.
The Classic Constructed (CC) rounds are 50 minutes in duration + 5 minutes for the start of game procedure. Players must have presented their deck and revealed their equipment and weapons within this 5-minute window. If both players complete the start of game procedure in less than 5 minutes, they may begin playing their match immediately. Decklist registration is mandatory.
The draft will be called (i.e., paced very precisely on the judge's instruction, which will also be explained extensively during the event), and cardpool registration will be mandatory.
The draft rounds are 30 minutes in duration, with the same 5 minute start of game procedure as during the CC rounds.
After these 12 rounds of Swiss, a TOP 8 will be played.

• Top 8 playoffs are single elimination, best-of-one matches.
• Top 8 matches have no time limit. Players are expected to play at a reasonable pace and Slow Play penalties will be enforced.
• For each Top 8 match, the player that finished higher in the Swiss portion of the event chooses to play first or second.

Eligibility

The National Championship is an invitation-only event. All qualified players need to register for the event. Players can qualify for the National Championship in the following ways:

• Obtaining an invitation to the National Championship via a Road to Nationals event.
• XP-based invitations will be issued based on standings as of Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 11:59pm PDT (Pacific Daylight Time).
• Redeeming a PTI (Professional Tournament Invitation) obtained from a previous event, such as the Calling.

Decks

All decks must be legal as defined by the Card Legality Policy. Deck registration must be done using full English card names only and be clearly legible. The official Classic Constructed Deck Registration Sheet is available on the Official Flesh and Blood website.
Please submit your decklist for the Classic Constructed before Friday September 8 23.59 via this link. Players may not change their registered deck during the tournament. Deck checks will be conducted by event staff throughout the tournament. It is the responsibility of each player to ensure there are no distinguishing marks or patterns on their cards or card sleeves for the duration of the tournament.

Prize support: The winner gets a Pro Tour Invite (PTI) as well as a black envelope containing a gold cold foil common or majestic! Two boosters will be awarded to each player for participation, and an additional two boosters per player will be added to the prize pool for the top 8 players.
